2016 Cadillac CTS Overview

The 2016 Cadillac CTS is a mid-size sedan with a starting MSRP of $45,560. The new Cadillac CTS comes with the choice of three powerful engines and it also offers the newest entertainment options, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the latter of which will be made available later in the 2016 model year. Complete with a luxurious interior and many advanced safety features, the 2016 Cadillac CTS could be the perfect vehicle to add to your driveway.

The 2016 Cadillac CTS comes in nine trims: 2.0L Turbo, 2.0L Turbo Luxury Collection, 2.0L Turbo Performance Collection, 3.6L Performance Collection, 3.6-Liter Twin Turbo V-Sport, 2.0L Turbo Premium Collection, and 3.6L Twin Turbo V-Sport Premium.

What’s New for the 2016 Cadillac CTS?

A new 335 horsepower V6 engine with active fuel management and stop/start technology is available for the 2016 Cadillac CTS. Other available features include a surround vision 360-degree camera system and newly designed 18-inch polished wheels. Additionally, there are three new color options available for the 2016 Cadillac CTS: Stellar Black Metallic, Cocoa Bronze Metallic, and Moonstone Metallic.

2016 Cadillac CTS Exterior

The new 2016 CTS features Cadillac’s upscale grille design and crest. The 2016 Cadillac CTS also comes with aluminum trim around the side windows for additional style points. Standard LED daytime running lamps further highlight the front of the sedan, while distinctive trapezoidal exhaust ports accented with chrome trim draw attention to the rear of the new CTS. Exterior color options for the 2016 Cadillac CTS sedan include Cocoa Bronze Metallic, Stellar Black Metallic, Moonstone Metallic, Crystal White Tintcoat, Radiant Silver Metallic, Black Raven, Red Obsession Tintcoat, Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic, Phantom Grey Metallic, and Silver Coast Metallic.

2016 Cadillac CTS Performance

The 2016 Cadillac CTS comes standard with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and 8L45 eight-speed transmission, which work together to produce 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. A newly designed 3.6-liter V6 engine is also available for the new CTS, which too comes matched with the new Hydra-Matic 8L45 paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission. The new 3.6-liter V6 is good for 335 horsepower, 285 lb-ft of torque, and features fuel saving stop/start technology, as well as active fuel management (cylinder deactivation). Lastly, a 3.6-liter V6 Twin Turbo engine comes equipped on the V-Sport models, which works with a Hydra-Matic 8L90 paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission to produce 420 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. Cadillac estimates the 2016 CTS sedan is capable of reaching a top-speed of 172 mph and can accelerate from 0-to-60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

2016 Cadillac CTS Interior

The 2016 Cadillac CTS offers the choice of eight interior environments, all of which are trimmed in either carbon fiber or genuine wood. The new Cadillac CTS also comes available with leather upholstery. Furthermore, the CUE infotainment system has been upgraded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, which allows driver and passengers the ability to access smartphone apps via the sedan’s touchscreen.
