The 2019 Buick Encore is available at four trim levels: Encore, Preferred, Sport Touring, and Essence.
What’s new for the 2019 Buick Encore?
Quite a bit has changed for the 2019 Encore, including the removal of two trims: Preferred II and Premium. The exterior of the Encore has changed as well, with the addition of two exterior colors — Deep Azure Metallic and Satin Steel Gray Metallic — and the removal of Black Cherry Metallic, Graphite Gray Metallic, and Coastal Blue Metallic.

The small size of the 2019 Encore allows you to zip around corners and maneuver into those tricky parking spots. Its elegant lines and signature Buick grille are accented by 18-inch machined-face alloy wheels and LED Daytime Running Lamps. While you typically have to upgrade to the highest of trims on other SUVs to get heated, power-adjustable outside mirrors with integrated turn signals, they come standard on the base Encore.

Performance
Standard for all trims of the 2019 Buick Encore is a 1.4-liter DOHC turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain allows you to tap into up to 138 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque while behind the wheel. On the Sport Touring and Essence trims is an available 1.4-liter SIDI Turbo with Start-Stop technology, upping performance to 153 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.
Efficiency
With the standard 1.4-liter DOHC turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the 2019 Buick Encore is capable of getting 25 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway, when equipped with front-wheel drive (FWD). All-wheel drive will lower efficiency slightly to 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. However, when you go with the available SIDI Turbo on the Sport Touring and Essence trims, the 2019 Encore can get an estimated 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.
Interior
From the outside, you wouldn’t think the 2019 Buick Encore has seating for up to five people and a spacious 48.4 cubic feet of room for cargo. You’ll feel totally comfortable in the six-way power driver’s seat while Active Noise Cancellation keeps the cabin completely serene. However, if you want to amp things up a bit, opt for the Sport Touring trim and its available Bose® audio system. For supreme luxury, the top-tier Essence trim offers a driver memory seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, and heated driver and front passenger seats.
