One of the most essential vehicles in the Cadillac global portfolio is rolling out in two of its key international markets. The 2020 Cadillac XT5 arrives in the Middle East and Russia, delivering more than 40 updates over the previous version.
Key upgrades for the new XT5 include a revamped Cadillac user interface paired with a next-gen rotary controller with jog function, one-touch phone pairing that leverages Near Field Communication, USB-C-type charging ports, 15-watt wireless charging, and available Night Vision technology. These upgrades make the XT5 more appealing to luxury lovers in the Middle East in particular, where Cadillac is emerging as a go-to premium brand.

“We are proud to present to our customers in the region the revamped 2020 XT5 SUV — complete with the latest tech and a revised design giving customers an unrivaled experience on the road,” said Christian Soemmer, Managing Director Cadillac International Operations and Cadillac Middle East.
The most notable change with the XT5 is the standardization of the 2.0-liter Turbo engine for the Luxury and Premium Luxury models. The 310-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 remains the standard for the Cadillac XT5 Sport and an available option for the Premium Luxury. Interestingly, Cadillac limits the output of the 2.0-liter Turbo from its standard 237 horsepower to 199.9 in Russia in order to minimize the transport tax.
The XT5 is the latest vehicle in Cadillac’s portfolio to adopt the Y-trim strategy, which simplifies the purchasing process by packing more features into the base Luxury trim and offering more distinctive personalities between the branching Sport and Premium Luxury models.
