2020 Jeep Gladiator and Ram Power Wagon Win Gold Winch Awards

The Best Midsize Off-Road truck of the year and the Best Heavy Duty Off-Road truck of the year are the 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon and 2020 Ram Power Wagon, respectively. These two well-equipped FCA models won Gold Winch awards from the editors at The Fast Lane Truck.

Gold Winch award contenders were put to the test on Colorado’s most demanding paths, treacherous terrains, and varying elevations by TFLtruck editors.
According to FCA, it was the Gladiator Rubicon’s open-air freedom, capability, and impressive off-road performance that propelled it to the top.
“The competition was very tough this year. In the end, the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon stood above the rest based on its raw off-road capability and the fun aspect of top-down doors-off adventure driving. The final decision was unanimous,” said Andre Smirnov, managing editor at TFLtruck.com.
The Ram Power Wagon impressed the editors with its specially designed suspension. It edged out the competition with features such as a front sway bar that disconnects, front and rear locking differentials, and 2-inch factory lift. The 12,000-pound winch definitely added to the Ram Power Wagon’s appeal.
“The Ram Power Wagon won the 2020 Gold Winch award due to its laser focus on off-road capability and equipment. It still has the best suspension flex, many trim options and an included winch to boot,” Smirnov added.
2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon dominates on- and off-road journeys with a 3.6-liter V6 24V VVT Engine with ESS paired to a six-speed manual transmission.
2020 Ram Power Wagon
The 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine that powers the 2020 Ram Power Wagon generates 410 horsepower, a best-in-class rating. The exterior of the Ram Power Wagon is supported by 17-inch machined-face aluminum wheels while the interior is outfitted with available leather-trimmed seating for comfort and durability. Exclusive to the trim is a smoked appearance for the instrument gauge cluster and touch screen graphics.
