The 2020 Maxima boasts a safety upgrade with Nissan Safety Shield 360 as a standard feature. Nissan Safety Shield 360 is a comprehensive suite of safety systems, which includes innovative driver assist technologies such as Blind Spot Warning, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Rear Automatic Braking. The available Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection reveals dangers from a 360-degree angle, while Automatic Emergency Braking, also part of Nissan Safety Shield 360, alerts you to a potential collision and will engage the brakes automatically if necessary.

Each trim is powered by a 3.5-liter VQ-series V6 engine paired to an Xtronic transmission to generate 300 horsepower.

“The distinctive Maxima body is low, sculpted and streamlined to achieve a sweeping aerodynamic profile that has more than a little jet fighter look to it. To bring all this inspiration to life, a special metal stamping technique was developed, adding the distinctive powerful gesture to its bodyline and deeply scalloped doors,” reports Nissan.
