The Jeep Renegade exited the U.S. market in 2023 and left Europe in 2025, with production ending at Stellantis’ Melfi plant. Its departure left Jeep without a model in the subcompact SUV segment, an area that remains significant in several markets.

Although a facelifted Renegade is planned for Brazil, uncertainty remains over whether a successor will be launched in the United States and Europe. A slide presented during Investor Day 2026 featured an unidentified Jeep model shown from a front three-quarter angle, offering no official name or technical details.

The image appeared as part of Stellantis’ presentation outlining its updated corporate strategy. According to Motor1, the company did not provide specifications or additional information about the vehicle, leaving observers to speculate about its identity.

The teaser quickly attracted attention because of the gap left by the Renegade’s departure from major markets. While the presentation focused primarily on the Wrangler Scrambler, described as a midsize pickup aimed at North America, it also highlighted Jeep’s broader product plans through 2030.

Jeep remains part of Stellantis’ global portfolio alongside brands such as Fiat, Peugeot, and Ram, with products intended for multiple regions, including Europe, where demand for small SUVs continues.

Questions Remain over the Timing of a Possible Replacement

The timing of a potential new Renegade remains unclear. Previous expectations were linked to Stellantis’ former DareForward plan, which had been approved under former chief executive Carlos Tavares before being replaced by the company’s updated FaSTLAne 2030 strategy.

Under that earlier roadmap, the next-generation Renegade had been expected around 2027. The report notes that it is unknown whether that schedule remains unchanged under the revised strategic framework.

No confirmation regarding a launch date was provided during Investor Day 2026. The presentation itself offered no direct reference to the Renegade nameplate.

Design Cues and Platform Details Emerge from the Teaser Image

The vehicle shown in the presentation features styling elements commonly associated with concept vehicles. Visible details include large wheels, distinctive lighting elements, and design features that may not necessarily reach production unchanged.

The overall shape appears upright and boxy, reflecting themes associated with Jeep’s current design language. The report notes similarities with the 2026 Compass and the Avenger, particularly in the illuminated upper section of the seven-slot grille and the thin light signatures extending outward from the front fascia.

Other visible elements include a high front end, a skid plate beneath the nose, side surfaces reminiscent of the Compass, and a nearly vertical rear profile intended to emphasize a rugged appearance.

One aspect concerns the vehicle’s expected underpinnings. The next Renegade is anticipated to use Stellantis’ STLA One architecture, a platform designed to support mild-hybrid, full-hybrid, and fully electric powertrains. At this stage, however, Stellantis has not officially confirmed that the teased model is the next Renegade.
