Aston Martin Produces 150 DB9 GT Bond Edition Coupes In Advance of Spectre
Many people dream they could be James Bond and have all the beautiful women, shaken martinis, and fancy vehicles that come along with being 007.
British automotive manufacturer Aston Martin is doing its part to make this dream come true–at least the part about the fancy vehicles–by producing 150 exclusive DB9 GT Bond Edition luxury cars, which will feature special 007 badges and a Spectre Silver paint job to help promote the new James Bond movie Spectre.
The DB9 GT Bond Edition comes equipped with a 6.0-liter V12 engine good for 540 horsepower and 457 lb-ft of torque. This Aston Martin can also accelerate from 0 to 60 in only 4.4 seconds and has a top speed of 183 mph. The DB9 GT Bond Edition will also feature gray brake calipers, the James Bond gun barrel logo in the interior, and a six-speed automatic transmission.
Aston Martin has priced this two-door coupe at $237,007 and the company is presently accepting orders.
Interestingly, the Aston Martin DB9 GT is not the vehicle featured in the new Bond film; instead 007 will be driving a Aston Martin DB10, which was produced solely for the film. Only ten DB10s exist and none of them are intended to be sold.
Spectre will be released in US theaters on November 6th and is rumored to be Daniel Craig’s last Bond film, according to Forbes.
