Cadillac has announced pricing for the new 2019 CT6-V performance sedan. Buyers can preorder a base model for $88,790, not including taxes or fees.

The CT6-V will come to dealerships in mid-2019, but customers hoping to snap up one of these models will have to be quick about it. Cadillac only plans to produce 275 units.

The lucky buyers who do manage to purchase a CT6-V will have a treat in store. Included in the price is two days’ worth of tuition costs and luxury accommodations at the two-day Cadillac V-Performance Academy. This special event will take place at the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club in Pahrump, Nevada. The offer, good for one year, is reserved for the original owner of the car only.

Ownership Perks: The benefits of driving a Cadillac

High-performance car enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the CT6-V, which carries an all-new engine: a twin-turbocharged 4.2-liter V8, dubbed the “Blackwing.” This engine makes 550 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque, is connected to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and comes with standard all-wheel drive.

Until recently, it looked as if the CT6-V and its powerful new engine would represent the last hurrah for the CT6, as Cadillac indicated that it was planning to discontinue the nameplate. However, Cadillac announced earlier this month that the CT6 would live on. Cadillac currently builds CT6 models for the U.S. market at GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant. GM plans to move production to another facility, but hasn’t indicated where yet.
