Chevy Announces New Engine, Tech, Colors For Full-size SUVs
The full-size SUVs from Chevy, the Tahoe and Suburban, have been fan favorites for years thanks to their ample interior space, expansive cargo space, and smooth performance. For 2022, Chevy confirmed three of the SUV’s trims — RST, Z71, and Premier — will offer drivers even more power. The three trims of the 2022 Tahoe and Suburban are available with the popular 6.2-liter V8 engine that generates 420 horsepower and is equipped with Dynamic Fuel Management technology for fuel-efficient performance. The High Country features the V8 as standard equipment.

“Tahoe and Suburban customers keep coming back thanks to the capability, space and technology these vehicles bring to every road trip or daily drive,” said Kelly MacDonald, director, Chevrolet Truck Marketing. “Chevrolet keeps innovating with these popular full-size SUVs, and it’s part of the formula that makes them segment leaders.”
Advanced tech
The engine option expansion isn’t the only highlight for the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban models, though. The unique 13 camera views are available tech that helps you trailer more safely. One of the views is a transparent trailer view, which allows you to see through the trailer to see traffic and obstacles behind it. A rear trailer view, a view that reveals what’s inside a trailer, and a picture-in-picture side view are also new for 2022.
Starting on the LT trim, a new 12.3-inch diagonal configurable digital instrument cluster is standard and gives you four layouts to choose from as well as customization functions so you can see what you want to know and how you want to see it.
Modern connections
Modern tech is a mainstay in Chevy models, and the 2022 Suburban and Tahoe do not disappoint, The full-size SUVs feature available Google built-in compatibility. This means you’ll have on-the-go access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play. Smartphone integration is seamless with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.
Cutting-edge safety
Advanced driver-assist technologies are designed to bolster your confidence behind the wheel, especially during tricky maneuvers. New for 2022, the Suburban and Tahoe will feature Front and Rear Park Assist and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning as standard equipment.
