Dealerships Welcome the 2020 Cadillac CT4
The 2020 Cadillac CT4 is slowly but surely making its way to U.S. car dealerships.
Cadillac Society reported last week that the all-new compact sport sedan model is shown as “in transit” on numerous dealer sites around the country.
The CT4 is the smaller of two sedans that the luxury brand introduced in 2019 after cancelling its older car models like the ATS, XTS, and CTS. The slightly larger CT5 began arriving at dealerships earlier this year.
The CT4 comes in four trim levels: the Luxury (starting at $33,990), the Premium Luxury, the Sport, and the upcoming CT4-V performance model. It’s available with either RWD or AWD.
Where to Go for Repairs: The benefits of servicing at a dealership
Most CT4 models carry a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder that makes 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque while pairing with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A 2.7-liter turbo four-cylinder is available for the Premium Luxury and standard on the CT4-V, boasting up to 325 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The CT4-V will pair its engine with either a 10-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual.
The CT4 faces a tough fight in its segment, going up against similar models from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. Cadillac has been working hard to market the CT4 to a younger audience, stressing the model’s fun-to-drive design, compact size, standard available tech like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, extensive safety equipment options, and wide range of interior and exterior trim and paint options.
The CT4 was also slated to receive Cadillac’s hands-free Super Cruise driving technology for 2020, but now it looks like customers will have to wait to get it with the 2021 model instead.
