First New Ford Fiesta Arrives at Dover, Heads to Birmingham Dealership
Ford’s best-selling car in the UK through the first six months of 2017 is the Ford Fiesta, and the Fiesta has been Britain’s most popular car for some time, which makes the arrival of the latest iteration in Britain quite the boon for the brand. The next-generation Ford Fiesta recently docked at Dover, with the first model off the boat being a five-door Titanium trim equipped with an award-winning 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine and cutting-edge B&O PLAY sound system.

From Dover, this Chrome Copper Fiesta Titanium was sent straightaway to Birmingham, where Ford sells a great deal of its Fiestas. The likelihood that this five-door Fiesta Titanium was already reserved or quickly snapped up is quite good; according to Ford, about 70% of the 120,000 Fiestas sold over the past 12 months were five-doors, and about 20% were the top-tier Titanium trim.
“This year, the eyes of the car world in our market are on new Fiesta as it takes over the [reins] as top seller,” said Ford of Britain Chairman and Managing Director Andy Barratt. “Having seen all Fiesta models coming over the next nine months, I’m confident it will remain on top.”
Among the trims of the Ford Fiesta arriving now at UK dealerships is the Titanium, the trim level to which 60% of all Fiestas sold over the past 12 months belonged. The new Fiesta ST-Line and Vignale are expected to arrive in the early fall, and the Fiesta ST and all-new Fiesta Active crossover are anticipated to bow in the spring of 2018.
