At its Go Further events in Amsterdam this month, Ford revealed that the 16 new electrified vehicles that will join its lineup in Europe over the coming years will fall under a new Ford Hybrid banner. This includes the Mustang-inspired electric performance crossover, which Ford revealed to be capable of a max range of 370 miles.

“Ford Hybrid vehicles will make electrification relevant and attainable for more drivers than ever before. From Fiesta to Transit, every new vehicle we introduce will feature an electrified version that best suits the needs of our customers in an affordable way,” said Stuart Rowley, president, Ford of Europe. “Along with advances in technology and connectivity, the models introduced today are just the start of our plans to develop a comprehensive line-up of smart vehicles for a smart world.”

Apart from its inspirations — the Mustang and Explorer — and its potential to “go like hell,” Ford hasn’t said much about the former Mach 1 since announcing it in January 2018. It was announced as having a 300-plus-mile pure electric driving range, and the revelation that the final number will likely be closer to 400 bodes well for the crossover’s viability.

In addition to the Kuga mild-hybrid, hybrid and Kuga Plug-In Hybrid, which were revealed at the event, Ford announced the Fiesta EcoBoost Hybrid and Focus EcoBoost Hybrid, a pair of mild hybrids that join the Kuga, Transit, Transit Custom, Tourneo Custom, and newly revealed Puma in Ford’s mild-hybrid lineup. Ford also revealed the new Tourneo Custom Plug-In Hybrid, the Explorer Plug-In Hybrid, and the Transit Smart Energy Concept at the event.
