Ford Ranger is Europe’s Pickup Sales King
Ford has announced that its Ranger mid-size pickup truck has taken the reigns as Europe’s best-selling pickup truck, having moved 25,500 units through November. With the launch of the new and improved Ranger on the horizon, sales are through the roof in the 20 traditional European markets, with the Ranger benefitting from a 32% year-over-year sales increase and an 11.8-percentage-point increase in market share.
Understanding Octane Ratings: What do the numbers mean?
“Ranger’s combination of all-round capability, rugged styling, and safety continues to prove unbeatable,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales & Service, Ford of Europe. “Orders for our new Ranger are already running ahead of expectations—with particularly strong demand for the flagship Wildtrak model featuring exclusive exterior and interior design and a striking new Pride Orange signature color.”
Aiding the new Ford Ranger in its sales success are an array of driver assistance technologies including Lane Keeping Alert and Lane Keeping Aid, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Front and Rear Park Assist. The Ranger is also the only vehicle in its segment to earn a 5-star crash test rating from Euro NCAP, making it one of the safest vehicles on the road.
