You know that a brand is all amped up about one of its new products when it risks having to plunk some bucks into the swear jar. Ford clearly couldn’t be more jacked about its new Ranger Raptor, which debuted in February of last year and was confirmed for European markets in September. Having now confirmed that Ford Ranger Raptor European deliveries will start mid-year — why, that’s just weeks away — the Blue Oval now has such a rush behind it that it’s opted to be all potty-mouthed about its … ahem … badass truck in its latest press release.

Bad-Ass Ford Ranger Raptor

“The new Ranger Raptor delivers all the tools a thrill-seeker could ask for,” said Leo Roeks, Ford Performance Director, Europe. “Like a motocross bike, snowmobile, and an ATV in one — it’s the ultimate adventure pickup.”

At least Roeks had the decorum to say this without resorting to using bad words. He’s a man who leads with action: After all, he did say all of this right before slamming on his helmet and ripping down a steep half-pipe to darkslide his way into a backside 180 on the opposite side. Now thats badass. Shoot! You see? Now Ford’s got me cussin’.

The Euro-spec Ford Ranger Raptor gets a Bi-turbo 2.0-liter EcoBlue diesel engine that generates 210 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of diesel as well as off-road friendly features like FOX shock absorbers with Position Sensitive Damping, a high-strength reinforced chassis that provides 11.1 inches of ground clearance, and Ford’s Terrain Management System. So, to be fair, if you were going to use a word to describe it, badass would probably do the trick pretty well.

What’s not as badass? The fact that the Ranger Raptor won’t be making its way to the United States — at least not for this generation, it would seem. Hopefully, in just a matter of years, we’ll get our own fix of badassery via the Ranger Raptor. Sorry about all the swearsies, y’all.
