You too can drive a Twister Orange 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway as part of the GT500 Track Attack experience

Are you at that point with the bonkers 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 where you’re like, yeah, I want one, but I need just that little eensy weensy extra thing to just push me right off the fence and into the driver’s seat? Well, if you’re that very specific type of person, good news for you: Ford has announced that folks who pony up for a new 2020 Mustang Shelby GT500 will get a free GT500 Track Attack instruction session.
The GT500 Track Attack experience will be the first offered at Charlotte Motor Speedway, home of the newest Ford Performance Racing School. There, drivers will get a chance to learn about the Shelby GT500 from the pros, who cover everything from cornering and braking techniques to how to use drive modes and launch control for max radness. If only for the chance to get to open up the 760-horsepower Shelby GT500 on a four-wide drag strip and a professional racetrack, the GT500 Track Attack is a pretty sweet bonus.

If you qualify, you’ll have to cover your own travel and accommodations. You’ll also have the option to buy in for a second day of instruction behind the wheel of Ford Performance-tuned Ford Mustang GTs.
“With its supercar-level powertrain, the all-new Shelby GT500 takes Mustang to a performance level once reserved only for exotics,” said Dave Pericak, Ford director of enterprise product line management. “GT500 Track Attack is absolutely essential in helping owners understand how to get the most out of their cars. This promises to be an exciting experience — one that owners will never forget.”
