GM Offering Substantial Discounts to Family Members of Dealership Employees
Right now would be a good time to live with or move into the same house as somebody that works at a GM dealership.
Automotive News has reported that General Motors is currently offering discounts of up to 10% for people who live in the same household as anybody who works at one of GM’s 4,200 dealerships.
These discounts reportedly can be combined with other incentive deals and are good for nearly every model across the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC lineups. For an example of how much can be saved, Automotive News showed that a GMC Acadia SLT, normally sold for $41,745, can be reduced to $35,640 by making use of the 10% discount and other current GM incentives.
In a note sent to dealers, Steve Hill, GM US sales chief, said it’s “a great opportunity to help someone at home enjoy significant savings on a new GM vehicle.”
Folks have until November 2nd to make use of the temporary discount by redeeming or acquiring a discount certificate.
GM has sold 2,299,847 vehicles this year, as of September, which is a 4.2% increase. The rest of the automobile industry is averaging a 5% increase through the same period.
