Jeep Might Give Renegade Trackhawk Production the Green Light
Jeep recently confirmed a new compact crossover SUV for its European line up, while also discussing a new Jeep Grand Cherokee to join the ranks. Now, it looks like these aren’t the only new models up for production for the rugged American carmaker.
Go Off-Road: Upgrade to Jeep Performance Parts
Along with these two new vehicles, Jeep is possibly offering a Jeep Renegade Trackhawk. This new possible Trackhawk will join the likes of a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk with a Hellcat powertrain, which was already confirmed earlier this summer. While the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk was recently delayed a year, this delay might be overlooked if another powerful Jeep is produced, too.
Rumors have been swirling about this special Trackhawk edition Renegade for the past few months. Now, sources suggest Renegade Trackhawk production has been approved, though there has been no confirmation of this approval by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Along with the production approval, rumors state that the Renegade Trackhawk will arrive by the 2018 model year. It’s possible that this performance-oriented SUV will use a twin-turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine for power, churning out at least 300 horsepower to make it an extremely appealing, ruggedly handsome vehicle.
If this powerful, rugged SUV is in Jeep’s future, we don’t think we can wait to see it.
