2018 Kia Soul
For seven consecutive years, the Kia Soul has secured a spot on Kelley Blue Book’s List of the 10 Coolest Cars under $20,000. The Kia’s distinct hatchback perfectly fit KBB’s editors’ quest to determine the list based on vehicles that are “fun to drive and fun to own.”

The 2018 Kia Soul is available at three trim levels: Base, + (Plus), and ! (Exclaim). The Base trim is powered by a 1.6-liter I4 GDI engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission; it puts out 130 horsepower and 118 lb-ft of torque. The + (Plus) is equipped with a 2.0-liter I4 GDI engine paired to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission to generate 161 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. The ! (Exclaim) trim is powered by a 1.6-liter I4 Turbocharged GDI paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch to put out 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
