Features of the Lexus Safety System+
- Pre-Collison System with Pedestrian Detection: This system gives you an extra set of eyes on the road. If it detects a potential frontal collision with a vehicle or pedestrian, the system will give you an audible and visible alert, while priming the brakes for increased responsiveness. If you can’t hit the brakes in time, this system allows the vehicle to brake before impact to lessen the severity of the crash or preventing the collision altogether.
- Lane Departure Alert: This system uses a high-resolution camera to detect road markings. Using this data, the vehicle can determine its position within the lane. If it detects straying, the Lane Departure Alert system will notify you with audiovisual warnings and steering wheel vibrations.
- Automatic High Beam: To give you better visibility, Automatic High Beams switch on when the road ahead is clear. If the system detects another vehicle approaching, your Lexus will automatically switch to low beams until the other driver passes.
- Dynamic Radar Cruise Control: Want to take some stress out of long drives? Dynamic Radar Cruise Control uses radars and cameras to help your Lexus maintain a set speed relative to the vehicle in front of it. If traffic slows down, this smart cruise control system will slow your vehicle, too, then return to its set speed when conditions allow.
