Maserati Launches Levante Vulcano Edition
As though it weren’t enough that the Levante can rush from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds, Maserati has launched a new Vulcano special edition for the SUV with a total production of only 150 units.
On the outside, the Vulcano is not that striking. It boasts Grigio Lava matte dark gray exterior paint, which isn’t exactly the best color to help it stand out. However, it does go well with the dark chrome trim, black window surrounds, laminated privacy glass, and tinted taillights, giving the Vulcano a pretty menacing look overall.
We’ll also grant that the black and gray body also helps the red-painted, six-piston Brembo brake calipers to really pop behind the special 21-inch wheels. The sporty look is certainly earned, as the Levante Vulcano is offered with either a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 or a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, the former making 345 horsepower and the latter 424 horsepower. This does mean, however, that it won’t be as quick as the 542-hp GTS or the 590-hp Trofeo.

Inside, full-grain leather seats are colored a vibrant red, with black stitching to provide contrast and the Maserati trident very visible on the headrest. That being said, if it’s too bright for your taste, you can have Maserati reverse the colors to have black seats with red stitching instead.
Glossy carbon fiber trim is peppered throughout the cabin, including on the center console, steering wheel, and accompanying shift paddles. As expected, there’s also a unique chrome Vulcano badge to let everyone know your Levante is a cut above the others.
