The Nissan Kicks continues to be a popular SUV in the Nissan lineup, and according to the experts at U.S. News & World Report, it is also a good option for drivers who are vertically-challenged. Earning a 7.8 out of 10 U.S. News Overall Score, the 2019 Nissan Kicks easily makes the pub’s list of the 15 Best Cars for Short People for 2019.

Helping the Nissan Kicks to stand out with the U.S. News experts was its affordable price tag and connectivity features.

“There are plenty of standard features for that low price, including a user-friendly infotainment system. A 7-inch touch screen is embedded in the dashboard directly right of the tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel — well within reach for a shorter driver,” according to U.S. News & World Report writer Bryan Siwik.

Although drivers don’t have the option of power-adjustable front seats in the 2019 Kicks, the well-equipped SUV makes up for it with its innovative design.

“…You still have a good view of the road ahead thanks to a low, sloping hood. Large windows also aid outward visibility,” Siwik writes.

Drivers might have some issue with seeing behind them, though, Siwik notes, because the Kicks has roof pillars that are thick. However, Nissan offers a range of advanced driver assist tech to help out with visibility.

“Opt for available features such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and a surround-view camera for more confidence, if you don’t have the advantage of a taller person’s range of sight.”
