It’s no secret that Nissan has been undergoing some major rebranding. The all-new 2021 Nissan Rogue is a big part of the automaker’s fresh look, and to promote the bestselling SUV, Nissan has launched a brand-new ad campaign and a celebrity partnership with Brie Larson.

The new 360-degree campaign, dubbed “Rogue Gone Rogue,” will showcase Nissan’s popular family vehicle performing under challenging conditions. The new ad, “What Should We Do Today,” features an adventurous family taking on rough terrain with ease in their 2021 Rogue.

Naturally, Nissan takes the opportunity to show off the Rogue’s Safety Shield 360 driver assist technology, various drive modes, and modern technology, including wireless smartphone charging and connectivity. Brie Larson even makes a surprise cameo at the end of the ad, hearkening back to her recent appearance in the Sentra ads.

The new ad campaign will be all over YouTube, Amazon, and Atlas Obscura. It’ll even have integrated spots on NBC, the Discovery Channel, and Univision. On top of that, you’ll see “Rogue Gone Rogue” ads everywhere from print ads to social media, with a special focus on promoting the vehicle alongside family-friendly content.

What’s an ad campaign without a celebrity endorsement? Lincoln has tapped Matthew McConaughey for his dulcet tones and Ford joined forces with Walton Goggins (or should I say John Bronco?) to promote the all-new Bronco. In that same vein, Nissan’s latest campaign will feature Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson.

The “Captain Marvel” star has previously featured in Nissan commercials promoting the 2020 Sentra. Larson expressed her excitement to work with the automaker, stating, “Finding a brand with mission-aligned values and an authentic connection to its workforce and customers is very important to me. Everything I’ve learned about Nissan supports those relationships at its core. I look forward to continuing our partnership both on- and off-camera.”

Larson’s partnership with Nissan will be a multi-year arrangement, and she’ll do more than serve as the public face of the brand. She’ll also participate in company events and help promote the automaker’s humanitarian efforts.
