Netflix
Hell or High Water (1/1)
Yeah, Hell or High Water was my favorite movie of 2016, but I have a good excuse for including it here. This tense thriller is pretty much wall-to-wall cars and trucks — including a pair of robbery getaways in a Chevy Camaro and an extended chase/shootout scene in a Ford Bronco with its top cut off.
The Dark Knight (1/1)
The Tumbler Batmobile. The Batpod motorcycle. Enough said.
XXX and XXX: State of the Union (1/1)
Vin Diesel stars in these films as extreme sports star and secret agent Xander Cage. A 1967 Pontiac GTO, outfitted with all sorts of Bond-style gadgets, stars as Cage’s awesomely ridiculous ride.
Ant-Man and the Wasp (1/29)
Ant-Man and the Wasp is filled with fun car moments, including a wild chase sequence with vehicles that can instantly shrink to the size of Hot Wheels. There’s also a hilarious scene where Ant-Man transforms into a giant and uses a freight truck as a skateboard.
Amazon Prime
The Grand Tour: Season 3 (1/18)
The third season of The Grand Tour will once again feature the exploits of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May as they trot the globe in search of new and exciting (and perhaps ill-advised) automotive challenges.
Hulu
Cujo (1/1)
Scary: driving a Ford Pinto, the small car notorious for bursting into flames when it was rear-ended. Even scarier: getting trapped with your small child inside a Pinto by a rabid killer St. Bernard.
Rain Man (1/1)
Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman are brothers (and the central characters) in this Academy Award-winning drama. A beautiful 1949 Buick Roadmaster convertible plays a key role, too, carrying Cruise and Hoffman on an eventful cross-country road trip that leaves both of them changed.
