Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX at the 2014 SEMA Show
Acura is showing off three custom variations of its all-new TLX luxury sedan at the 2014 SEMA Show, which kicked off today in Las Vegas and runs until Friday, November 7th. Each modified model is designed to highlight the vehicle’s performance capabilities and customization possibilities, which are both best captured by the 2015 Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX concept.
The result of a partnership between the L.A.-based Acura Design Studio and Galpin Custom Car Works, the Galpin Auto Sports Acura TLX features a more aggressive look than the production model, and was inspired by the TLX GT racecar. You can check out the build process in the video below:

In addition to that eye-catching new Andaro Blue paint job, modifications include new ADV5.0 M.V2 SL custom wheels, Pirelli 245/40/19 P Zero tires, RSR Sport SI Series suspension kit with fully adjustable coilovers featuring 36-way damping adjustment, Wilwood Superlite six piston calipers with 14-inch vented rotor front and rear brakes, custom exhaust outlets, and most noticeably, a custom aero body kit that includes bolder front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a big deck-lid spoiler. There’s no word yet on whether any changes have taken place underneath the hood.
“The Acura brand has always been about a luxury performance experience, which, of course, includes the look and feel of the product,” Dave Marek, Global Creative Director of Acura Design, said in a statement. “We collaborated with Galpin Auto Sports to help us have some fun in speaking to this fundamental part of Acura DNA and we’re excited about what they have helped us create.”
