2015 Saleen 302 Black Label Mustang Makes 730 Horsepower
Last month, Saleen began shipping out the 302 Mustang White Label and promised that it would be showing off the 302 Mustang Black Label the following month. (Saleen then undercut that unveiling effort somewhat by showing off the Black Label in the process of announcing the unveiling event, because sure.)
Well, the day has come, and the 2015 Saleen 302 Black Label Mustang has been revealed—again. Only this time, we now know just how powerful it is—730 horsepower.
“From the beginning of this project, we have always known that we wanted to create the most powerful production Mustang we have ever built,” said Sven Etzelsberger, Saleen vice president of engineering. “I can happily say that we have accomplished this goal with great success.”
Indeed, 730 horsepower is good enough for that particular mark. Saleen accomplished this number by fixing the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 up with a twin-screw supercharger. The 302 Mustang Black Label also features S3 springs, shocks, sway bars, and bushings, as well as ZR-rated front and rear tires, 13.9-inch ABS vented front rotors with four-piston calipers, 13-inch ABS vented rear rotors with single-piston calipers, and a number of signature Saleen aesthetic touches.
And it’s all yours for a mere $73,214. You know you want it.
