2017 Honda Ridgeline Overview

After being excluded from Honda’s lineup for the last two years, the Ridgeline midsize pickup truck returns for the 2017 model year. Using a modified version of the platform used in the Honda Pilot, the all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline rides more like a crossover than a bulky truck. Carrying a starting MSRP of $29,475, the ‘17 Ridgeline will compete with the likes of the Toyota Tacoma, Chevrolet Colorado, and GMC Canyon.

What’s New for the 2017 Honda Ridgeline?

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is an all-new model and has been redesigned from the ground up. The V6 engine produces 30 more horsepower than the previous motor and the five-speed automatic transmission has been replaced with a six-speed gearbox. The most notable change made to the exterior of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is the removal of the buttresses that used to connect the cab with the bed. This design change gives the 2017 Honda Ridgeline a more conventional look, but some Ridgeline fans might say it takes away from the truck’s uniqueness. Also, the bed of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline is now 66 inches long and also comes with an in-bed trunk. This trunk includes a drain plug that will help if the trunk is used to keep beverages on ice. In addition, the 2017 Ridgeline is available with a 400-watt power inverter and in-bed audio system, which were both created to improve the tailgating experience.
