Lincoln kicked off pre-orders for the Continental earlier this month during the 2016 Chengdu Motors Show, offering pre-sale pricing of RMB 420,000 ($62,992 USD).

The Continental is expected to arrive in China by the end of 2016, in the process bringing to fruition the brand’s pledge to launch five different vehicles in the market prior to the start of 2017. The Continental joins the MKZ, MKC, MKX, and Navigator in Lincoln China’s lineup.

“The new Lincoln Continental is a pure expression of Quiet Luxury, a symphony of gorgeous shapes, fine craftsmanship, and innovation,” said Amy Marentic, President of Lincoln China. “It’s a car that helps you glide through the world—from the effortless performance and intuitive technology to the personalized ownership experience.”

The 2017 Continental will be part of the Lincoln Way, which provides an ownership experience catered specifically to the individual. Lincoln credits The Lincoln Way with helping bolster sales in the new market to the degree that they have already surpassed 2015’s full-year total by the mid-way point of 2016.

Lincoln intends to increase its dealership network from the current 48 Lincoln Stores to 60 by the time the Continental arrives in China, and to a total of 80 in more than 50 cities by the conclusion of 2017.
