The 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV was honored as the “Best in Class Green Vehicle Hybrid or PHEV” by the New England Motor Press Association at the Winter Vehicle Awards. This exciting news comes a year after the 2018 Outlander PHEV was named the “Best Green Winter Vehicle” by NEMPA in 2018.

Details on the latest award

The Winter Vehicle Awards take place after the winter vehicle testing competition in New England. This is an annual competition where vehicles are evaluated throughout winter to see which vehicle is the best to drive during the frigid season.

The 2019 Outlander PHEV was one of the few chosen winners of the competition because of its entertaining yet safe features. However, this should come as little surprise to drivers, since the vehicle is already the world’s best-selling plug-in hybrid presumably because of these same features.

Packed with Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control system, the 2019 Outlander PHEV makes it safer and easier to drive in a variety of weather conditions. Plus, there is a sufficient amount of free space to meet your comfort and storage needs.

Of course, it’s important to mention that the entire reason that the Outlander PHEV can be considered a green car is because it’s an electric vehicle. This means that not only does the 2019 Outlander PHEV drive well, as confirmed by the Winter Vehicle Awards’ honor, but that it is doing its best not to harm the environment.
