A hot lap on the NCM Motorsports Park track
Earlier this week, the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, was hit with a $100 noise violation fine issued by the Warren County City-County Planning Commission.
At the time, NCM attorney Charles E. “Buzz” English Jr. (which is a great name, by the way), told the press that the museum was in the process of resolving the issue.
“Our emphasis is to be a good neighbor. We are doing everything we can to mitigate the noise,” English told the Bowling Green Daily News. “We plan to build a berm. When we do build something, it will be designed by acoustical engineers and it will have a positive effect.”
Now, NCM has released an official statement confirming its intentions to construct a 14-foot high permanent noise berm.
According to the statement, the structure will dip to 8-feet and rise to as high as 20-feet in certain sections, hopefully providing the residents of Clark Circle with a little peace and quiet. NCM has already redirected the PA speakers so that they’re no longer facing the neighbors, and plans to compile a full, extensive acoustical report on the track in September.
