The brand’s current European range is limited to the Avenger and the Compass. A third model, the electric Recon, is expected in early 2027 and will effectively take the place of the Wrangler, which is due to leave Europe by the end of 2026.
Jeep has confirmed that the Wrangler’s return would be difficult under current safety and emissions rules. Its distinctive body shape limits the flexibility needed to meet crash-test requirements, although the company says it is still examining possible solutions.
Europe’s Jeep Range Is Being Rebuilt From a Very Small Base
At the moment, Jeep’s European lineup consists of only two vehicles: the Avenger and the Compass. That makes the next product moves especially important for the brand, which is trying to broaden its presence in the region before 2030.
The Recon is expected to arrive in early 2027 as an electric off-roader. It will complete an initial trio with the Avenger and Compass, while the Wrangler exits the market by the end of 2026.
The Wrangler’s withdrawal is tied to regulation rather than a simple product-cycle decision. Jeep has said current European safety and emissions requirements make a return difficult, and the model is no longer listed on the official European product roadmap.

Two New Small SUVs Will Join the Avenger
Jeep’s next European expansion will include two additional B-segment SUVs positioned near the Avenger. The Avenger is 161.4 inches, or 4.10 meters, long, while the new models are expected to measure around 165.4 inches, or 4.2 meters.
The vehicles are internally known as “B-SUV Compact” and “B-SUV Large.” Jeep does not appear worried about overlap in this part of the market, with the two models expected to differ in design and positioning.
Official names have not been announced. One possibility mentioned in the source is the return of the Renegade nameplate, which was discontinued at the end of 2025.
Both SUVs will use Stellantis’ new STLA platform architecture. The platform is designed for multi-energy use, supporting internal combustion engines, full hybrids, and fully electric powertrains. The hybrid setup is likely to be based around Stellantis’ 1.2-liter turbocharged engine.

A Larger SUV Will Come From the Dongfeng Partnership
The third upcoming Jeep for Europe will be a mid-size, D-segment SUV developed with Dongfeng. Jeep has already confirmed that new models will be developed and manufactured in China for both domestic and global markets.
This model will be built on a platform currently being co-developed with Dongfeng. Still, Jeep says it will not be a rebadged vehicle, but a true Jeep product with in-house design and engineering.
Like the smaller SUVs, the mid-size model will be multi-energy, with electrified and fully electric versions planned. All three future models are expected to preserve core Jeep traits, including available all-wheel drive, familiar design elements, and off-road character.
For now, the only confirmed production location concerns the mid-size SUV, which will be manufactured in China. For the two smaller SUVs, Jeep has only said it has “a very clear plan,” while also referring to the proposed Industrial Acceleration Act, a possible European policy meant to encourage more vehicle production in Europe and reduce reliance on overseas manufacturing.
