Cadillac Celebrates Its 115th Birthday with the 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition
Yesterday was Cadillac’s 115th birthday, making it one of the oldest automakers in the world. Usually, you receive a gift for your birthday. Instead, Cadillac has prepared a gift for a select few of its most loyal drivers. In honor of this milestone, Cadillac is selling 115 models of its 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition vehicles.
New from Cadillac: What’s New for the 2018 Cadillac CT6?
The Glacier Metallic CTS-V is a brand-new trim for the brand’s performance sedan, made specifically to celebrate Cadillac’s anniversary. The model will sport a special coat of smoky light gray paint, the eponymous “Glacier Metallic.” A new color scheme isn’t the only thing that separates this special edition sedan apart from the rest of the CTS-V lineup. The 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic Edition also includes a long list of premium features.
Within the cabin of the CTS-V, drivers will find Jet Black RECARO® race-inspired sport seats and an UltraView sunroof. As far as technology goes, the special edition sedan also comes equipped with Cadillac’s Performance Data Recorder system and Rear Camera Mirror.

Under the hood of the CTS-V is a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine. When combined with the sedan’s eight-speed sport automatic transmission, the supercharged engine is able to produce 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque for the Cadillac CTS-V Glacier Metallic model.
As stated earlier, this special edition sedan is extremely limited, as Cadillac is only set to produce 115 units of the vehicle. 105 of them should be available at Cadillac dealerships later this month for the starting price of $103,885.
If you really want to give Cadillac a birthday present this year, you could always gift wrap a large sum of cash. In exchange, you’ll receive a one-of-a-kind Cadillac vehicle.
