Cadillac Live – A New Way to Shop
You may have heard of online, third-party car sales companies like Carvana or Joydrive, but few automakers have taken to the internet in the same way as these 12st-century startups. That is, until now. Just a few days ago, Cadillac announced its plan to revolutionize online — and luxury — car shopping.
The website doesn’t have white shoes: But 2020 XT5 is still amazing
As of December 9, 2019, you can take advantage of Cadillac Live. The “experience,” which combines the idea of a digital showroom with the bespoke service of a personal shopper, aims to give you access to Cadillac’s lineup of sedans and SUVs from anywhere in the world. By equipping agents with a Bluetooth® headset and an iPhone X outfitted with an Osmo Mobile gimbal, you can ask Cadillac employees any questions about any vehicle while they give you a full tour of the model(s) you’re interested in.
If you’re not too keen about being on camera, you’ve got nothing to worry about. While the Bluetooth® audio allows you and the Cadillac agent to talk back and forth about the particulars of a car, the video feed only goes one way, meaning that you can see the person helping you, but you can learn about your next ride while lounging in your pajamas.
The decision to launch Cadillac Live was a direct result of several Google reports that showed that consumers generally begin the car-buying process online, strongly desire expert advice, and are more willing to purchase vehicles from companies with user-friendly selection processes.
In a press release about Cadillac Live, Melissa Grady, Chief Marketing Officer for Cadillac, said, “Luxury consumers are looking for a seamless, one-on-one shopping experience, whether online or in-person. Cadillac Live offers a high degree of personal service, with time-saving conveniences and extended hours, reflecting today’s evolving shopping habits and our customers’ expectations.”
If you want to take a virtual tour of a Cadillac dealership or learn more about any vehicle in the lineup, Cadillac Live experts are available at the following times.
- Monday through Thursday: 9:00 am to 1:00 am, EST.
- Friday: 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, EST.
- Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, EST.
