Cadillac is continuing its marketing trend of reaching younger consumers by offering them contemporary crossover and SUV models like the 2019 XT4 and upcoming 2020 XT6. The automaker is also improving the customer experience. Not only is it relaunching a new BOOK 2.0 vehicle subscription service in the near future, but it is also seeking to make the shopping experience more convenient and personalized for Caddy fans.

Introducing Cadillac Live

Per GM Authority, the automaker has just revealed a new virtual showroom function for Canadian customers. Dubbed “Cadillac Live,” this new service connects prospective buyers with Cadillac products via live agents. Consumers can view a pre-recorded session to learn more about the Cadillac model they’re interested in. They can also book a live session for a later date if they have specific questions about a particular vehicle.

The live agents will be equipped with an iPhone X, a headset, and the mobile technology needed to dialogue with customers via an online connection. The agents will answer customers’ questions and show them around the Cadillac Live showroom, which is physically located in a Toronto film studio and has 10 Cadillac models for shoppers to explore.

A direct response to consumer shopping habits

Cadillac Live is the automaker’s response to the latest consumer trends when it comes to buying a new vehicle. Cadillac found that 74 percent of people switch brands if they find the purchasing process too complicated. Additionally, 55 percent of online shoppers give up on purchasing a product if they can’t quickly locate answers to specific questions.

Per Cadillac Canada’s managing director Hoss Hassani, Cadillac Live will offer these shoppers more convenience and accessibility when gathering information about new models. Though currently available only in Canada, Cadillac Live could potentially debut in the States if it has a successful response in the Great White North.
