For Cadillac fans, the new 2020 XT6 has been one of the top highlights this summer. Excitement for this model has pervaded the market. Consumer Reports ranked it among its annual New 2020 Cars Worth Waiting For list.

While the XT6 has definitely been one of the most anticipated debuts for 2019, you’ve got to wonder what target group Cadillac had in mind for the model — especially since the crossover/SUV segment is one of the most crowded ones to date. Thankfully, Cadillac XT6 Marketing Manager Bob Benbow recently provided the answer to that question.

Target market for the XT6

Per Benbow, the brand designed the XT6 for “the CEO of Everything.” This was the title that one participant in a product clinic gave herself, since she managed her own business, as well as her family, home, and children’s sports teams. Cadillac then claimed this specific customer profile as its target group for the model.

The appealing qualities of the XT6

The characteristics of the 2020 XT6 definitely encapsulate the type of vehicle this busy, well-rounded individual would need. It’s top three strengths are its spaciousness, safety features, and tech perks.

For starters, it has plenty of room for both passengers and possessions. Three rows of seating can accommodate up to seven passengers. And there’s 37.2 inches of head room and 29.5 inches of leg room for third-row passengers —  generous dimensions that are rare for the segment. You can also collapse both back rows to enjoy 78.7 cubic feet of space.

It incorporates the latest driver-assist features such as the following to boost your confidence on the road: Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The brand has also added Teen Driver mode to ease your mind when your teen takes the wheel.

Inside, connectivity amenities make it easy to work and play on the go. The XT6 delivers a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot and six USB ports. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to keep passengers engaged with favorite playlists and apps on long commutes or road trips.
