The Car Book Names 2014 Dodge Dart a ‘Best Bet’
Just recently, The Car Book named the 2014 Dodge Dart a “Best Bet” in the compact car category. This marks the second year in a row that the Dart has earned such praise.
To develop its list of “Best Bets,” The Car Book analyzes a wide range of information, gathered by both government and independent sources. This information comprises repair costs, warranty coverage, crash test results, rollover rating, safety features, fuel economy, complaint data, preventative maintenance schedules, and insurance costs.
The Dart was able to nab an overall score of 9 out of a possible 10. Specifically, the Dart earned a 9 for its low repair costs, while its warranty coverage, rollover rating, crash tests, and fuel economy all achieved an 8 for the Dart.
In addition, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) named the Dart a Top Safety Pick. Government testing reaffirmed its safety when the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the Dart a 5-star overall safety rating. The Dart also made it to the top of the compact segment in terms of quality, according to the Strategic Vision Total Quality Index.
“The Car Book’s recognition of the Dart as a ‘Best Bet’ for two years running confirms what our customers are telling us,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO–Dodge Brand. “The Dodge Dart has unique combination of distinctive styling, fun-to-drive performance, up to 41 mpg, segment-leading safety features, and easy-to-use technology, all combined, making it a tremendous value.”
