The 2019 Ram 1500 continues to gain favor with drivers and automotive experts. The latest attention comes from the editors at Cars.com, who named the popular all-new Ram 1500 the Best Pickup Truck of the Year.

The editors praised the formidable truck for its thoughtful redesign, high-strength steel re-engineered frame, and responsive powertrain.
“The 2019 Ram 1500 is not only a well-timed redesign in one of the most competitive automotive segments in the world, it also provides a level of quality and design that could have the competition chasing it for years to come,” according to Cars.com editors. “That may sound like an exaggeration, but the more time we spend in the new Ram 1500s, especially in the upper trim levels, the more we’re blown away by the quality and attention to detail — we’ve never seen anything like this in a pickup truck and have been in few luxury sedans, crossovers or SUVs that meet this standard.”
The editors were also impressed that the high-strength steel frame of the 2019 Ram 1500 makes it possible for the model to carry and tow higher load levels than what previous generations could do.

“Additionally, the simplicity and invisibility of the 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain system (standard on all 3.6-liter V-6 models and optional for the 5.7-liter V-8) worked quite well in just about every real-world situation we could throw at it, and it works seamlessly with the new standard automatic engine stop-start feature,” added the editors.
