‘Jurassic World’ Characters Escape Dinos by Driving Mercedes-Benz Vehicles
Many people have already designed their ideal zombie-fighting vehicle, but have you considered what you would drive to survive a dinosaur attack? One of this year’s biggest anticipated blockbusters has a suggestion for you.
According to Jurassic World, the best way to escape from the claws of rampaging reptiles is to drive a Mercedes-Benz. Based on a new print ad, it can even stand up to the dreaded Indominus Rex!
Jurassic World Vehicles Include Mercedes GLE Coupe, G-Class, G63 AMG, Unimog, Sprinter
In preparation for June 12th release of Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic World, luxury automaker Mercedes-Benz is pulling out all the stops in a co-promotional campaign—from television and online commercials to print ads and microsites.
The first commercial is a collection of slow-motion footage from the upcoming film that leads into a promotion for the GLE 450 AMG Coupé (driven by Bryce Dallas Howard’s character), as well as other models appearing in the film: the G63 AMG 6×6, Unimog (as a dino ambulance), G-Class, and various Sprinter models.
“The fleet of Mercedes-Benz vehicles fit perfectly into Jurassic World. They are classy, sophisticated, and sexy—exactly what would exist in a modern international theme park,” stated producer Frank Marshall.
The fleet of Mercedes vehicles is driven by the characters around the jungle of Isla Nublar, showing the off-road capabilities of the brand.
In case you didn’t remember, Mercedes-Benz has already established a partnership with the Jurassic franchise. “The Mercedes-Benz M-Class made its first official appearance in the Hollywood Blockbuster The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Today, 18 years later, another Mercedes-Benz car will debut in a significant role in the latest installment of the groundbreaking Jurassic Park series named Jurassic World: the new GLE Coupé,” stated Dr. Jens Thiemer, Vice President Marketing Mercedes-Benz Cars. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with a multitude of Mercedes-Benz vehicles and will promote the film and our cars with many exciting global marketing activities.”
