As the 2019 XT4 is the latest addition to the Cadillac lineup, the luxury brand has begun to heavily advertise the crossover. Up to this point, Cadillac has mainly focused on the XT4’s stylish design and interior features, but the latest XT4 ad focuses on another aspect of the vehicle: its engine.
Under the Hood of the XT4: 2019 Cadillac XT4 Tripower Engine offers big boost in performance
Entitled “Under the Hood,” this 45-second commercial shares some details about the XT4’s standard powertrain. The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is a new development for the Cadillac lineup.
Said engine is capable of producing up to 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. Yet, it also manages to remain rather efficient, allowing the XT4 to achieve 24 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

The marketing spot also discusses some of the exclusive aspects of this 2.0-liter engine. For example, the powertrain features what Cadillac is calling a world-first tripower valvetrain. The engine also features Active Thermal Management and an Electric Purge Pump.

The engine isn’t the only impressive component of the 2019 Cadillac XT4. Cadillac’s new crossover features a standard built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, as well as the Cadillac User Experience interface. As far as safety features go, the XT4 has a suite featuring the GM Teen Driver technology and an HD Rear Vision Camera.
The Cadillac XT4 only hit the market a few months ago, but it is already standing out as a go-to model for Cadillac customers. As such, Cadillac will continue to shine the spotlight on its new vehicle throughout 2019 as well.
