Emeli SandéWhen Lincoln isn’t busy looking for ways to get younger drivers behind the wheels of their cars and SUVs, they are looking for ways to appeal to the same demographic with unique internet content. The latest campaign will be a seven-part documentary series entitled “The Journey” and will focus upon seven African-American individuals who strive to inspire the communities in which they live.

The first entry in “The Journey” will feature singer/songwriter/“Lincoln Ambassador” Emeli Sandé. Sandé and Lincoln Motor Company recently shared a spotlight at the ESSENCE Black Women in Music celebration back in January. The singer says that, when turning to music, her aspirations were to take better advantage of the time she has on earth in order to make herself happy.

“My ambition in releasing music was never really commercial,” said Sandé in Lincoln’s press release. “The opportunities have been both incredible and humbling. I like working with people who inspire me, that I feel comfortable with and see what comes.”

Lincoln will share the videos on www.now.lincoln.com as well as on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Future installments will profile filmmakers Nelson George and Kenny Leon, artists Danny Simmons and Afua Richardson, photographer Terrance A. Reese, and designer Bobby Joseph.
