Mitsubishi Announces Dual World Debut Set for 2015 LA Auto Show
Sometimes, short is sweet. For Mitsubishi’s most recent announcement, this couldn’t be truer.
The Japanese carmaker recently announced a dual debut at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show, but it did so in an unexpected way. Rather than releasing a teaser image of the expected new models or a written press release, Mitsubishi instead sent out a “Save the Date” of sorts.
On November 18th, Mitsubishi is planning of unveiling two new global models. While the Save the Date doesn’t exactly give us a whole lot of information, it does have mirage images of two crossovers. One looks like it could be a new generation of the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, featuring a sleeker exterior and a lower stance; the other image appears to be an updated Mitsubishi Mirage, which won’t see a 2016 model, instead skipping straight to the 2017 model year.
As we get closer to the debut of these two new models, it’s important to keep in mind that the new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport—also known as the Mitsubishi ASX in certain markets—will have some styling cues in common with the eX Concept car, which recently debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show.
