Newest Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak Offers Two Engine Options
Drag racers everywhere, rejoice! Dodge has finally announced that it is taking orders for the newest Challenger Drag Pak. Starting at a price of $109,354, the new Drag Pak is a bit different than its predecessors. How? It has a cheaper option.
The Drag Pak, which is from Mopar, is available with two different engine options. The more expensive version is a supercharged 354-cubic-inch Gen III HEMI engine with a cast-iron block, forged steel crankshaft, and a custom engine management system. For almost $10,000 less, though, you can also get a naturally aspirated 426-cubic-inch with an aluminum block, aluminum cylinder heads, and pressed-in steel liners. The actual price for this cheaper engine comes in at $99,426.
Mopar is only planning only making 60 of these awesome Challenger Drag Pak models. Thirty-five will come with the supercharged engine, while the remaining 25 will pack the naturally aspirated HEMI.
The rest of the new Drag Pak includes 15-inch Hoosier drag radials, a Mopar gauge pack, racing seats with a safety net and five point harnesses, and a full NHRA rollcage. These limited drag cars can be ordered only at authorized Dodge dealerships, so make sure you get your hands on one before the next drag season comes around!
