The 2020 Genesis G90 made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show last week, showing off a comprehensive redesign marked by sophisticated detailing and a long, sleek profile.

“The 2020 G90 is a flagship sedan for Genesis in the truest sense,” said William Lee, the global head for the Genesis brand. “Its launch begins a product offensive for the Genesis brand centered around emotive products with exceptional design.”

According to Hyundai, the new G90 has been designed inside and out to reflect the brand’s principles of “Athletic Elegance” and “Horizontal Architecture.” These principles can be detected in the exterior’s low stance, energetic lines, sleek quad lamps, and G-Matrix patterned lights and wheels. Inside, flowing horizontal lines create a simple, spacious feel supported by chrome, leather, and wood surfaces.

The G90 furnishes an array of advanced technologies to accompany its elegant looks. The 12.3-inch split-screen navigation system can now receive over-the-air software updates. The Intelligent Car Management Service tracks driving patterns to help owners keep up with maintenance. Active noise cancellation keeps the sedan’s interior quieter than ever. The Genesis Adaptive Control Suspension uses electronic damping to provide a highly smooth ride.

The G90’s high-tech commitment extends to its safety systems as well. Key new features include Lane Following Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, and Highway Driving Assist.

The G90 comes in two trims, which are distinguished by their engines. The 3.3T Premium carries a 3.3-liter turbo V6 that makes 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. The 5.0 Ultimate comes with a 5.0-liter V8 that delivers 420 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. Both trims feature an eight-speed automatic transmission, standard RWD, and available AWD.

The 2020 Genesis G90 is expected to go on sale in December, and pricing details should be available soon.
