The model arrives nearly four years after the Vision 7S concept previewed Skoda’s ambitions in the segment. The production version is now ready for launch and will go on sale in Europe later this year as one of the Volkswagen Group’s largest mainstream electric vehicles built on the dedicated MEB platform.

Skoda positions the Peaq as an electric alternative for buyers seeking more room than the Kodiaq offers. The vehicle combines three-row practicality, large cargo capacity, and a range of comfort and technology features that have not previously appeared in the brand’s lineup.

A Focus on Interior Space and Practicality

At 4,874 millimeters (191.9 inches) long, the Peaq is the longest vehicle currently offered by Skoda. Its dedicated electric platform allows for a wheelbase measuring 2,965 millimeters (116.7 inches), a configuration intended to maximize passenger space throughout the cabin.

The five-seat version provides the largest cargo area of any Škoda model, offering 1,010 liters (35.6 cubic feet) of storage space. Even in the three-row configuration, the SUV retains 299 liters (10.5 cubic feet) of cargo capacity behind the rear seats.

Storage extends beyond the rear compartment. The Peaq includes a front trunk with an additional 37 liters (1.3 cubic feet) of space designed for smaller items such as charging cables.

The vehicle adopts styling cues first seen on the Vision 7S concept and the smaller Epiq electric crossover. Buyers will be able to choose from 10 exterior colors and several aerodynamic wheel designs ranging from 19 to 21 inches.

New Technology Introduces Several Firsts for Škoda

The Peaq brings a number of technological innovations to the Czech brand. It is the first Škoda model equipped with flush door handles and the first to feature an electrochromic roof measuring 2.12 square meters (22.8 square feet). The roof is divided into nine switchable segments.

Another debut is the integration of windshield washers directly into the wiper blades. The system is designed to improve cleaning performance while using washer fluid more efficiently.

Inside, the most significant change is the introduction of a new Android-based infotainment system displayed on a 13.6-inch vertical touchscreen mounted prominently on the dashboard. Physical controls remain available on the center console for adjusting temperature and fan speed.

The Peaq also retains a dedicated 10-inch digital instrument cluster for the driver. Buyers can optionally equip the SUV with a head-up display featuring augmented reality technology.

Premium Features and Two Battery Options

Although positioned under a mainstream brand, the Peaq offers a range of upscale equipment through an optional Relax Package. This package includes massaging and ventilated seats, electrically adjustable footrests, front cushions, a folding table, and a Sonos sound system. Wood trim is also available to enhance the cabin environment.

The electric SUV will be offered with two battery packs. The smaller battery has a gross capacity of 63 kWh and delivers more than 460 kilometers (286 miles) of range. A larger 91-kWh battery increases range to more than 600 kilometers (373 miles). DC fast charging allows the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes.

Customers will be able to choose between rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations. Rear-wheel-drive versions produce either 201 horsepower or 282 horsepower. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant develops 295 horsepower.

Performance figures vary by model. The all-wheel-drive version reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.7 seconds. The more powerful rear-wheel-drive model and the all-wheel-drive variant have an electronically limited top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph), while the entry-level version is limited to 160 km/h (100 mph).

The Peaq joins a broader strategy that includes combustion-engine vehicles, plug-in hybrids, and fully electric models. Skoda became Europe’s second-best-selling automotive brand during the first quarter of 2026 after delivering 222,500 vehicles across the 27 European Union countries as well as the United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.
