The Long-Anticipated Debut of the Cadillac CT6 V-Sport
Cadillac just debuted its new CT6 V-Sport, which is set to release later this year. The exciting addition to the brand’s lineup promises some refreshing updates which expand the capacity and enhance the overall appeal of the CT6 model.
As Lyndon Lie, chief engineer for the CT6 model, articulated, “The CT6 V-Sport was developed for driving enthusiasts who want the best of both worlds: a high-performance sport sedan and a luxury car with all the comforts and technology that come with it.”
Unleash the Lavish: Benefits of leasing a Cadillac
The most potent powertrain of the original CT6 has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine, which delivers 404 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. The 2019 CT6 V-Sport surges with even more energy thanks to a 4.2-liter V8 engine which boasts 550 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque. It comes paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with a 7.39 gear ratio.
Although the automaker has yet to release an official acceleration rate for this beast, it’s safe to expect that it will have an impressive one. Cadillac also revealed that the CT6 V-Sport incorporates an all-wheel-drive layout as well as a “revised” torque split, the latter of which is predicted to yield a stronger rear bias.
Additional aspects to anticipate on the CT6 V-Sport are 19-inch Brembo brakes, a retuned exhaust, and 20-inch wheels. Restyled headlights and taillights borrowed from the Escala, as well as an updated 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, continue the modifications.
We await further details about this stunning new powerhouse, as Cadillac expands upon its luxury vehicle reputation by asserting its presence in the V8 market.
