Vin Diesel Says Fast & Furious 8 Will Be ‘From Paul’
The dust is still settling from the hype of Furious 7, which hit theatres on April 3rd and broke a number of box office records in just its first weekend, but already, the cast and crew is looking forward to the all but confirmed Fast and Furious 8, which would be the first film in the series since Paul Walker’s death in 2013 not to feature Walker as Brian O’Conner. Just the other night, at the MTV Movie Awards, Vin Diesel told MTV News that he’s looking forward to Fast & Furious 8, and that he knows Paul is too.

“Paul used to say that [Fast & Furious] 8 was guaranteed and, in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass,” Diesel remarked. He added, “So if fate has it—fate, F8—then you’ll get it. Furious 7 was for Paul; 8 is from Paul.”
If that doesn’t just melt your heart, we’re not quite sure what will. But perhaps Vin Diesel singing “See You Again” for Paul Walker at the awards will do the trick:
Vin Diesel isn’t the only one on board with Fast & Furious 8, which will undoubtedly be confirmed by Universal Pictures very soon. Co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said backstage at the show, “I talked to Vin today—we had a nice discussion—and I think whatever it is, whatever we come up with for Furious 8, we have to raise the bar, in terms of action, yes, but also in terms of story and character.”
