Price

While the XT6 and the Escalade are both undoubtedly luxury models, the XT6 is considerably more affordable. It starts at $52,695, while the Escalade starts at $75,195.

Powertrain

On the 2020 Cadillac XT6, you’ll find a 3.6-liter V6 engine that pumps out 310 horsepower, 271 lb-ft of torque, while earning 18 mpg city and 25 mpg on the highway.

The Escalade, on the other hand, delivers significantly more kick with its 6.2-liter V8, which puts out 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This dynamo comes yoked to a 10-speed automatic, which helps it earn 14 mpg city and 23 mpg highway.

Interior

Spread across three rows, the 2020 XT6 offers a six-passenger standard seating arrangement, with an available seven-passenger seating option. Either way, you’ll have 78.7 cubic feet of cargo room with the seats folded down. Plus it includes standard heated front seats, available heated rear seats, and available ventilated front seats.

The Escalade, however, can seat up to eight passengers. The standard model offers 94.2 cubic feet of cargo room, while the extra-large ESV gives you 120.9 cubic feet of space. Stay comfortable with the Escalade’s standard heated and cooled front seats and heated second-row seats. The Escalade even makes family road trips more enjoyable with its available rear-seat entertainment system, complete with wireless headphones and a Blu-Ray/DVD player.

Safety

Both of these impressive SUVs offer a wealth of safety features, but they differ in a few minor regards. The XT6 has an available Surround Vision Recorder, which allows you to view and save video captured by the vehicle’s exterior cameras. It also offers Rear Pedestrian Alert and an available first aid kit that’s perfect for fixing minor cuts and scrapes.

The Escalade offers a Safety Alert Seat that helps you keep tabs on little ones in the back seat, while the available Highway Safety Kit offers valuable resources if you find yourself stranded along the highway.
