Buyers generally turn to Cadillac for luxurious sophistication and sleek power rather than outstanding fuel efficiency. However, the brand’s 2019 lineup does offer a solid selection of vehicles that provide those qualities while not requiring frequent, expensive visits to the pump.

Efficient Newcomer: Cadillac teases electric SUV

2019 Cadillac CT6

The CT6 sedan is Cadillac’s most fuel-efficient vehicle. Models equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and FWD yield 24 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, and 28 mpg combined. Models with AWD and a 3.6-liter V6 lag behind quite a bit at 18 mpg in the city, 27 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined.

2019 Cadillac XT4

This new compact crossover offers fuel economy second only to the CT6 sedan in Cadillac’s lineup. Carrying a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, the XT4 gets 24 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway, and 26 mpg combined when equipped with FWD. AWD-equipped models get 22 mpg in the city, 29 mpg on the highway, and 24 mpg combined.

2019 Cadillac ATS

When equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine and RWD, the ATS coupe gets a solid 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. AWD models are close behind at 21 city mpg and 29 highway mpg. With the optional 3.6-liter V6, ATS fuel economy drops to 19/29 mpg city/highway for RWD and 18/26 mpg for AWD.

2019 Cadillac CTS

The CTS sedan’s fuel economy is identical to the ATS when it’s outfitted with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine: 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway for RWD models and 21/29 mpg city/highway for AWD. Also identical to the ATS, fuel economy falls to 19/29 mpg city/highway for RWD models with a 3.6-liter V6 and 18/26 mpg for AWD.
