Women in Automotive Conference Offers Women in Industry Empowerment
It’s no secret that the automotive industry is a bit of a boys’ club. Look around at the head honchos of the brands within this industry, and you might be hard pressed to find many women. But, believe it or not, the industry is looking to change that—and this call for change is being led by some incredible female industry leaders.
One of the biggest parts of this chance comes in the form of the Women in Automotive Conference. The Women in Automotive Conference was founded by women, for women. Six industry female leaders decided it was time for women in the automotive industry to feel empowered, while also developing the skills needed to thrive in a male-dominated field. To do so, Women in Automotive has created a conference that benefits both women and automotive dealerships.
The conference will be held Sunday, June 26th to Tuesday, June 28th at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida. Women in Automotive will feature a variety of keynote speakers, workshops, and networking activities, including a variety of booths and meals to give attendees an opportunity to meet and great. Each of these events will allow influential members of the industry to discuss how to recruit, retain, and develop female employees and leaders within dealerships.
This is only the second year that the conference has been held, but Christy Roman, the Founder of Women in Automotive, believes it will only continue to grow.
“More than 300 professionals from across the country attended the inaugural Women in Automotive Conference in 2015, and we expect to double attendance at our 2016 event,” said Roman in a press release.
Regardless of gender, all automotive professionals are encouraged to attend this empowering conference to gain insight on one of the automotive industry’s hot topics.
Speakers for the conference will include a number of well-known names in the industry, including Doug Austin, the President of Stragetic Source; Melanie Batenchuk, the founder of Be Car Chic; and Tammie LeBleu, head of National Sales Dealer Development for AutoLoop. Even I will be heading to the Women in Automotive Conference as a keynote anchor, speaking on the concept of crushing mediocrity and redefining both your career and your legacy.
The Women in Automotive Conference is one you won’t want to miss, especially if you are a woman in the industry. Check out the Women in Automotive website and consider registering for the conference today.
