The Ram truck brand really knows how to make trucks. And now, for the truck lover in all of us, it has created the ultimate off-roading pickup—the 2017 Ram Power Wagon. Based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab, this ruggedly handsome pickup truck takes all of its styling cues from the 1979-1980 “Macho Power Wagon.” After debuting earlier this year at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show, this Power Wagon has already started to turn heads. The 2017 Ram Power Wagon’s exterior features a new grille with silver “RAM” badging. The blacked-out grille is larger and features bi-functional projector headlamps with LED marker lights on either side. A Gloss Black graphic stretches from the middle of the hood to the windshield.

Designers pulled a popular graphic from the 1970s to fit the truck’s profile. As a result, the 2017 Ram Power Wagon features a thick vertical strike aft of the cab while “Power Wagon” is in large, rotated font, paying tribute to Power Wagons of past. The color of the graphic varies based on the color of the truck.

Flame Red, Blue Streak, Bright White, Bright Silver, and Granite Crystal receive a Gloss lack graphic. The Black Power Wagon features Bright Silver graphics.

17-inch multi-surface aluminum wheels with Silver and Matte Black are new the 2017 Power Wagon. The wheel-arch moldings, badges, mirrors, and lower body panels feature a blacked-out theme, giving the truck a unique appearance.

Mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, a manual transfer case and Hill-Descent Control allow the Power Wagon to travel down steep terrain without needing to brake.

Both interiors come with an all-Black instrument panel, armrests, seven-inch center cluster, and an 8.4-inch Uconnect backdrop screen. The steering wheel is wrapped in Black leather with available heating. Both the upper glove box door and cluster feature Power Wagon badging.
