2018 Ford Escape Performance
When choosing your Ford Escape, you can opt for one of three powertrains; all engines are paired to a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The first engine is a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine, producing 168 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque; the 2.5-liter comes standard on the S. Upgrading just slightly on power is the 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, available on the SE and SEL, that produces 179 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. The maximum-power engine is available on the Titanium: a 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, producing 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque.
The 2.5-liter four-cylinder is only available with front-wheel drive configurations; the EcoBoost engines can be paired to front-wheel drive (FWD) or Intelligent four-wheel drive (4WD).
